Sebastian Copeland

Sebastian Copeland (b. 1964) is a British-French-American photographer and polar explorer. Internationally recognised as a chronicler of the polar world, Copeland brings the thrilling beauty of the extreme latitudes into our homes. Known for his unique and deeply immersive style, Copeland’s precise fine art technique delivers a powerful message from the front lines of climate change. He has been named Photographer of the Year four times for his stunning publications, and his work is held in prestigious museum collections, notably the Natural World History Museum in San Francisco. Copeland has spent months crossing the ice on foot, collaborating with northern tribes and documenting their interaction with the harsh Arctic world.
