Lawrence Fried (1926 – 1983) was an award-winning American photojournalist whose topics ranged from politics to celebrities. Fried took up photography during World War II. He worked for publications such as The New York Times, Life, Newsweek, and Vogue and captured famous faces, including Audrey Hepburn, James Dean, Andy Warhol, and John F. Kennedy, throughout his 30-year career. His images, capturing unique moments in history, are not just historical records but evocative pieces of art that continue to inspire and enthral.
