In her work, Katrin Freisager deals with the presentation of her pictorial world. She consciously uses the medium of photography, which is bound to objects in the historical sense. In this way, she succeeds in establishing a connection to reality to be then able to dive all the deeper into fiction. Freisager is interested in exploring the possibilities of our perceptions. Her images take us on a visual journey allowing us to discover another world. Katrin Freisager lives and works in Zurich. She studied photography at the Zurich University of the Arts ZHDK. Her work has been shown in numerous international institutions and has received several national and international prizes and awards. She was a member of the Art Commission of the City of Zurich for several years. Freisager is a lecturer at the Institute of Art HGK FHNW Basel.Works by Katrin Freisager can be found in several public and private collections and museums.
