Sebastian Copeland (b.1964) is a British-French-American photographer, polar explorer and environmental advocate. Copeland began his career on Madison avenue, shooting celebrities, fashion and advertising. Copeland credits his background in geology for his decision to retool his skills to focus exclusively on photographing at risk environments. Since 2000, he has promoted awareness on climate change, traveling to the coldest and most vulnerable locations around the world. Noted for his unique and deeply immersive style, Copeland gives a voice to the ice with his precise fine art technique, and delivers a powerful message from the front lines of climate change.
