Sebastian Copeland (b. 1964) is a British-French-American photographer, polar explorer, and environmental advocate. Copeland began his career on Madison avenue, shooting celebrities, fashion, and advertising. Copeland credits his background in geology to his love for photography and his desire to focus exclusively on photographing at-risk environments. As a UN ambassador and modern superhero, he has promoted awareness of climate change, travelling to the coldest and most vulnerable locations worldwide. Known for his unique and deeply immersive style, Copeland gives a voice to the ice with his precise fine art technique and delivers a powerful message from the front lines of climate change.With his spectacular arctic and nature photos, he won the International Photography Awards, the ITB Book Award and the Global Arctic Award. He was named four times Photographer of the Year.
